Caregivers Ministry

"A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

The Caregivers Ministry of the West Oakland Missionary Baptist Church (WOMBC) is responsible for delivering purposeful care for Church members based on the Church member’s birth month.   

Their core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Angel Food Ministry

·         Proactively contacting members in the event they or a family member are facing illness

·         Proactively contacting members in the event they are facing bereavement following the death of a family member or loved one

·         Praying with, and for members as needed

·         Responding to members who have voiced a specific need

·         Remaining attentive to members who may have unstated needs, and pro-actively reaching out to lend support

The Caregivers Ministry is charged with taking a compassioned approach to the well-being of God’s people, always uplifting with regard to their personal and spiritual needs.

The members of the WOMBC Caregivers Ministry also partner with the Deacon Ministry in meeting the needs of the Church  family. Lastly, the Caregivers Ministry responds to miscellaneous assignments specified by the Pastor.
